What does AlgorithMx do?

We're the tech department for trade businesses around Metro Detroit, without the cost of hiring one. We set up and look after the software that schedules your jobs and sends crews out, the tablets your crew uses in the field, the systems that connect your tools together, and the computers and networks that keep it all running. We do this for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and contracting companies.

What areas does AlgorithMx serve?

Trade and home service businesses across Metro Detroit. For the software and automation work, the kind that doesn't need us on-site, we can help trade businesses anywhere in the country.

Which businesses do you work with?

We work with different trade businesses, general contracting, law and legal practices, and other professional services. Focusing on these fields means we already know the software you run, the way your jobs flow, and the margins you're working with. We're not learning your business on your dime.

What's the free tech checkup, and what's the catch?

We come out to your business (or ride along for an hour), take a look at your website, your scheduling software, and your computers, then hand you a written plan showing exactly where you're losing customers or burning office hours. No catch. If you want us to build the fixes, great. If not, the plan's yours to keep.

How much does tech support cost for a trade business?

It depends on what your business needs. A business still writing paper invoices needs different help than one running five trucks on field software. We price on what it's worth to your business, not by the hour, and every job starts with the free checkup so you know exactly what you'd pay before you commit to anything.

What software do you work with?

Whatever you already run. We work with the scheduling, accounting, even custom software that trade businesses already use, and we build the connections that get work automated, so the work isn't manual and repetitive.

Do you just fix things when they break?

No. The break-and-bill businesses sit around waiting for something to go wrong, then charge you to fix it. We work as your ongoing tech partner. We build and look after the systems that run your scheduling, your crews, and your books, so problems get headed off instead of billed.

Can you connect our scheduling software to our accounting?

Yes, that's one of the main things we do, whatever brands you're on. Connecting those two means the same job stops getting entered by hand in two places, which for most businesses is 10 or more hours a week back for the office.

Do you replace our office staff or work with them?

We work with them. Our job is to take the re-typing, the chasing, and the troubleshooting off their plate so they can look after customers and keep crews moving. And we train your team on everything we set up. Nothing's a black box.

What if we're not a trade business?
